To be fair, it is trying to start a heavy train on a quite steep gradient, but yes i agree these slips can damage loco's but it's not necassarily the driver's fault.

Nice footage, but I do so wish these mainline drivers would NOT wheelspin these hugely powerful loco's so badly, it often leads to hours of extra maintenance work at their home base and can even cripple an otherwise decent loco!!
