Animoog & 5k Work Out just messing with some sounds from the animoog. The bass and all other sounds and ambience is from animoog. Strings played sampled and chopped and manipulated in Mpc 5k alon with drums

  • Question bro.just came across this vid and I'm trying to do the same thing with a MPC 2500. Are you using midi at all or just sampling everything into the mpc 5000?

  • @tylawtheboss Both... I have all my gear connected via midi to the MPC 5000. My MPK49 midi out to 5k midi in , Phatty midi in to 5k midi out A channel 1, Mopho midi in to Phatty midi thru (so it uses 5k midi out A channel 2 via Phatty's midi thru), XV midi in to 5k midi out B channel 1-16, Mac Soft synths midi in to 5k midi out C channel 1-16, IO Dock (animoog and other ipad app synths) midi in to 5k midi out D channel 1. Then I sample into 5k anything I've sequenced. no midi dumps

  • @phashara so say you like a synth sound in Sunrizer, do you select it on a MIDI channel and play it in? Or do you play the sound, sample it, and chop it up on the 5k?

  • @tylawtheboss both. I play it to record it into the sequence. then whne i'm happy with my sequence I resample all midi parts seperately and chop them spread across pads to play em back in. sort of a lot of extra steps but i like it better to have the peace of mind that i ont loose midi dumps or forget midi dumps when time to replay.

  • pardon the annoying ticking sound its apart of the app i used ... forgot to turn it off.

  • @phashara you are the best man. This is exactly what I want to do now that I have the iPad. I plan on using it like a sound module. With apps like animoog, I can only see the iPad getting stronger.

  • I actually lick the ticking. Thought it was part of the drums. lol

  • super cool. animoog is amazing. reading your blog on this makes me want iodock
