what's bothering me is the latest trend of moronic network heads to cancel good shows to make room for shit reality shit. i'm talking about AWAKE, THE GOOD GUYS, FUTURAMA... thankfully there's always THE SIMPSONS. the best show on TV. if someone cancels that, i guarantee i start WWIII

haha. You just sit back, relax and enjoy. It doesn't need to be good TV - I can watch absolutely anything. After you've studied Biochemistry at University, trust me you'll find any TV interesting! :)

Breaking bad is fucking awesome, forgot about that. Now I think about it there are ofcourse some good shows, Breaking Bad, The Wire, Soprano's, lots more that I haven't seen. It's just that those kind of shows never seem to be on. Whenever I am with friends who watch TV the only thing I see is Pawn Stars, Storage Wars, Poker and cartoons.

people with a brain dont ever watch that shit. hell i don't even know what channel shows such crap. on the other hand i enjoy watching good scripted shows like XFILES and BREAKING BAD. if you've ever seen them, you can't say they're anything but classics. and there are very good movies (although very little). you said it. it's all about the 10%

how can you even do that? After 1 hour I am punching holes in the wall because of the fucking commercials and the programs edited around those commercials. Especially nowadays you watch a program and it's like 45 minutes of nothing spread out over 948214 commercials with a cliffhanger before each commercial. I can not understand you TV zombies, how can you stay hooked on something so horrible while you have the fucking internet where you can find anything that is on TV and far, far FAR more?

Yeah it is like having a choice in a McD restaurant, it is still all shit that will make you fat and disgusting. TV is like the menu at McD, Internet is going out in the wild and find food on your own.

You're right, I actually was looking for a univ. lecture on neuroscience and ended up watching trivial videos and reading comments. You can't win, habits run too deep...

I have to add that I do understand that parents need a break and the tv does occupy a child so the parent can rest but as a society I think television is more of a problem than a "luxury."
