Gt32 Turbo custom kit, from a dead stop just up the street. Stock clutch so it was a bit slippy. Replaced it with a 228MM dual Diaphram Eurospec. Good times.

  • @luminaeus aint nothin wrong with that lol

  • @GTO19020

I don't blame you at all, and if I had bought the Mustang instead I would be in the same exact position, lol. Except instead of planning for turbo upgrades I would be planning for Whipple's kit that gives it 600+ rampaging, suicidal horses.

  • @luminaeus and i agree....but being addicted to V8s...there rlly is no comparison for me in what sounds meaner...its just personal preference i guess...my ears are biased XD

  • @luminaeus this is true, 2 ears ago, i had to choose between an LS2 GTO and an STi...and i choose the GTO...the interior is rlly light years away from the STi and in a drag race (which is what 99.9% of my races are) i can easily stomp a stock STi....only down side is when it snows round here...im severly fucked lol

  • @GTO19020

It depends on the engine, I guess. High revving Hondas sound stupid, but VW's can sound deep and mean. Check out the video 'APR MK6 GTI RSC Exhaust' Probably as good of a sound as a 4cyl can get.

I thought about getting an STI too but they're damned near $40k. Out of my price range for a car that's gaudy on the outside and all hard-plastic on the inside. Previous generation was much better looking, but it's a big risk to buy a used STI or Evo. They've all been abused lol. :)

  • @luminaeus yeah, but against you are going to spend an extra 5k and IMO i hate the sound of a 4cyl, its just annoying to hear....to me, a big evil V8 will always steal my heart over a 4cyl....the only 4cyl i have even rlly considered buying is an STi and that just cause its got a respectable look and is a real drivers car.

  • @GTO19020

It's a nice perk, nothing wrong with enjoying it if you have it. You get the nice deep rumble, I get to go a little further on a tank.

I could have bought a 5.0 Mustang GT but I bought a new GTI instead. It's 600 pounds lighter, $10,000 cheaper, and a much nicer car to be in. And for about $5k in parts it'll be as fast as the Mustang in a straight line too.

And still get 34 mpg on the highway. It just won't have the V8 rumble :(

  • @finddavid7 sick of seeing all the ricers in Knoxville. We have a couple of tuned up VWs. Need more though.

  • I got a 2003 1.8t honda eater and i freaking hate hondas with a passion

  • He beat the light.
