Moving to Marlborough, WDR Schulfernsehen 1/1985
One of the first English learning projects using video recordings at school in Germany.
Story by Stephen Speight, editor (Redakteur) Lothar Humburg, Starring Christopher Humburg as Andy Becker, Sharlie McGurk as Martina Becker, Elizabeth Morgan as Liz Becker and
Andrew Ashby as Mark Fraser.
4 episodes a 15 minutes
1. A New Start
2. Andy
3. Martina and Mark
4. Found - and Lost
Showed at school, additional material is used there, but series also aired at German TV channels, 1985, 1988 and last time in 1993. First aired 1985-01-21, but I think produced since 1983.

Plot:
After their father died by a car accident, Andy (14), Martina Becker (16) and their mom Liz move from Cologne to Marlborough (England), where their mom was born.
Martina fits in quickly and finds a friend (Mark Fraser), but Andy doesn't like England.
At a school trip to Cherhill, Martina and Mark separates from class and she hurts her ankle.
Andy runs away and wants to travel back to Germany by ship, but lost his wallet.
Someone finds it, Andy's mother is called and picked him up.
He can be convinced to stay.

Further series
How to get a scoop (FWU 1976, first one, might be used mainly since 1982)
Bridges (FWU 1979)
The London Outing (~1985)
Two-Two-O-One (SWR 1987, Boy and girl from year 2201 travel to England in the 1980s)
The Secret of Adlington Hall (Boy and girl solves mystery in a castle),
and others.
