    -All events in the story can be tied into cancer or bad parents.

    -One of the major themes in the film is the idea of coincidence not being a coincident.

    -The plot twist is related to one of Moses' plagues.

    -The magnolia plant is believed to help treat cancer (hence the title).

    -It's worth watching at least once.
