Since Youtube decides to desync one version of this video I had to compress it again... Bah... great.

Something I just wanted to try for once while I'm taking my LP'ish break.
This video is not really to show off skill or something it's just more the purpose off showing off one of many ways to play the Scout.

  • It's always lovely to hear people moan about how there's not aiming required for this gun, even though it's actually vice versa.

The Scattergun has 6 shells loaded, which means you can easily miss with 4 as long as the other 2 are perfect hits to bring down pretty much every enemy class.

The FaN however has only two shells, which means every shot counts. Of course if you hit with the first shot, the second hit is trivial due to the knockback. But still... the FaN is a pretty interesting weapon.

  • whats the damage difference between the Fan and the normal scattergun?

  • The FaN does 10% less damage than the regular Scattergun.

You can see the other changes right at the beginning of the video, where the FaN stats are shown.

  • @Cauchemar89 dw people alwayc complain that weapons are OP just cause they are using a class weak to that weapon eg ive heard SOO MANY people say trigger happy pyros are so unfairly better than the spy but if u backstab the pyros alot (use the stalk technique) they will either rq or go another class

  • i cant find any servers playing gullywash now :(

  • The guy at 5:22 is "NaziDuck", don't know why =O

  • it feels so weird to switch up between the FaN and the SCattergun, but that's my new obj to master both weapons. I think if u play with the FaN long enough and switch back to the scattergun your aim increases by a ton

  • To be honest. I always use Bonk! and the Sandman together. If I'm under heavy fire, I down a can and run like mad. Also, I couldn't help but laugh at the achievements there. The red sniper got an achievement for the jarateing cloaked Spies, then seconds later, the spy that said sniper jarated for the achievement gets the achievement for backstabbing while jarated.

  • @miles5551 the damage is complicated. Though per-pellet the FaN does 10% less damage (than the Scattergun) there are 20% more pellets per shot. So if all pellets hit the target, the FaN is 8% more powerful than the Scattergun.

In practice the Scattergun is slightly more powerful at longer range and it's easier to get all pellets on target at mid-close range.

  • Cheap ass faggots ?

Only people who do not use it for utility purposes.

The knock back is pretty useful for knocking off people off of the point, and then finish them with the pistol :D

  • it's you 5:32 ?
