Recorded on April 17, 2010 using a Flip Video camcorder.

A combination of mistakes led to this crash. The first and most avoidable mistake was "Following to Closely" to the guy in front of me. When the rider in front of me slowed down in the turn it caught me off guard and I went wide.
Secondly I "Target Fixated"; as I was drifting wide I looked at the mud puddle on the side of the road. This is exactly where I didn't want to go; yet a rule in motorcycling is "you go where you look"

  • From what I can tell you made more than those mistakes. You obviously weren't leaning at all. At your speed (which looked like around 25 mph) you could have EASILY made that turn...if you woulda leaned... Ridden the road hundreds of times..

  • @hermin0000 uuuh not people who are cautious about roads they havnt been on

  • That corner gets EVERYBODY

  • ajajajja stupid crashing at 15 mph jajajaj

  • thats one of my favorite corner of redwood.one of couple corners that gives so much fun on 250.theres also a sliperry spot there where you exit from that turn.

  • hey Fonzman..

Similar Incident on this road past Sunday...however came in too fast ..ended up going wide..and "you go where you look" and I was looking at the dirt at the edge and low slided haha...Learning experience! ;)

  • awesome driving road but really dangerous because of oncoming traffic... there should be a divider lol
