The bridge was constructed in 1847 for the opening of the G.S.W.R.IN 1848.
The stone for the bridge was cut and shaped in Ballagh quarriesand transported to Gooldscross by horse and cart.

  • Demolished due to failing clearance tests and also because european funding was made available to upgrade bridges for higher speed trains (100mph).
