  • More people should be like him he takes his ideas straight from nature and does not simply follow very strictly the "bonsai rules" that are set. when i read my first bonsai book i thought the same way he did...that if bonsai is to mimick nature why are there so many rules??? when nature has no rules...i guess thats why he is the best at this...

  • he make pretty sculptures but no bonsai.

he should learn japanese and read the right bonsai books.

  • exactly, we can't put what's aesthetically pleasing into a box; nature is unpredictable and so are people's tastes.

  • Sww the development of this tree only 20 months later.

    Walter Pall

  • Easiest way to get moss is to just grow your bonsai outside, overtime it usually grows by its self, if your impatient, keep it somewhere where there is a lot of shade, you can even put something in front of it to block sun from the soil, just make sure the tree its self is getting adequate light, and if you really want moss now, just go grab some out of your lawn, you can grab enough to cover all the soil or just grab a pinch, it will spread quickly in the right conditions (damp/darkish)

  • can any one please post a good how to video on bonsai or suggest one that would be great. also does any one know how to get the moss on it. thanks

  • the translator needs to be there...dont you get it? you would say it was annoying if there wasnt a translator and you couldnt understand Walter.
