  • could i use vaseline to wash the comb

  • You could, but it is thicker than lotion and won't soak in. Some other things you could use to make the comb look bright and healthy are chapstick, olive oil, or carmex.

  • is it ok to wash my two year old chicken if she has never been bathed

  • Of course =) She may not like it, but bathing her won't hurt her =)

  • man when i was little all the chickens I raised(2) always runs from me and i've had them since they were chicks.

How the hell did you get yours to be so calm?

  • how often should i wash my white silkie bantams?

  • Not so shure this will work for me my birds are about 4 times as big as that one and have been layers there hole life, but thanks for make a great video on this

  • Great job on the video. I show my dog, but, I've always kind of wondered how one would groom poultry. I enjoyed learning.

  • that is one calm and patient chicken......great job.

  • Personally I would allow it to be a couple of degrees cooler than I would want it myself as chickens body temp is higher than humans.

I was just wondering, do you wash your chickens just during the summer or cooler months also, I need to wash my hen again she is not well and her vent needs cleaning. Is a toothbrush not to hard? not sure I would want to scrub away at my parts with a toothbrush let alone something a 100th of the size of me.

  • i laughed a lot at the end when you used the hair dryer on him :)

  • I cleaned my chicken today, and she sorta liked it! She was just dirty and we were just practicing for show 2012! Thanks for the tips!

  • what else besides olive oil could i use so my chickens legs wont be dry and stuff?? she needs a bath i might give her one tomorrow :)

oh, how often should i bathe her?

  • cute rooster, nice video
