Every time something bad happens, it's because God wants to humble you? If you're a little girl raped by a serial rapist, does God want her to be humbled? When a baby gets a life-threatening, painful disease, does God want her to be humbled? When an entire people gets killed by a tsunami or earthquake, who gets humbled?

He is still playing and still winning in the NFL. As for loosing in the Superbowl, it was one of the best Superbowl games ever played and it is not always about whether you win or loose, but indeed how you play the game. He plays the game of football and game of life with a tremendous amount of class. There will always be those miserable mentally twisted who take pleasure in diminishing others success. Misery loves company and try to drag others down to there level.
