  • I am afraid you will never understand the argument and I am done with you. I do hate to see you trash a reputation without facts though. Here's a reference from the Miami Herald (miami herald.com/2010/06/11/1674327_p2/was-candidate-involved-in-us-healthcare.html) "Was Scott close to going to prison for his part in the case? It appears not at all. The former CEO was never indicted and was never questioned in the case .." Study and equip yourself before jumping in over UR head again

  • @wildbobandronnie I never said he was indicted: I said he is a crony capitalist intent on destroying capitalism.

  • @wildbobandronnie btw, that's EXACTLY my point here. the backbone of conservative politics is to make formerly illegal crony capitalism legal & call it freedom. that's what's most destructive since Reagan: massive deregulation and a model of capitalism where every government job is outsourced to politically connected cronies. that's why during Reagan/Bush we saw public sector employees and unions slashed and replaced by expensive private sector cronies and the national debt quadrupled!

  • I have serious reservations about continuing this since you obviously do not understand the argument. Let me make it simple: Is the book free? According to your reasoning we should be able to acquire a copy of any book, reprint and distribute it while returning nothing to the author. Sooner or later the producers stop producing. Is this too complicated for a world traveler like yourself?

  • @wildbobandronnie You are seriously comparing the creation of the National Park Service, complete with Yosemite and Yellowstone with personal gains like Rick Scott making billions defrauding Medicare, being sued for it and paying settlement or Bush using his political connections to use eminent domain to make money PERSONALLY on land speculation, or Scott Walker in WI who's company making 100% of its profits on government contracts which he's getting because of crony capitalism?! R U insane?!

  • So it is alright to steal so long as you are stealing for the public good and according to your definition of the public good? Which one of those Roosevelst died in poverty? Unless you provide some proof that you understand the argument I see no point in going further.

  • @wildbobandronnie Here are some of the new Tea Party members:

Marlin Stutzman's (R-IN) chief of staff Tim Harris works as lobbyist for a trade association representing the shareholders of energy companies like American Electric Power, Duke Energy, NiSource, Vectren. Mike Pompeo's (R-KS) COS Mark Chenowerth lawyer on the lobbying team for Koch Industries. Robert Dold (R-IL): Eric Burgeson from BGR Holdings serving business clients in China, the coal industry, and a nuclear company.

    and so on!

  • @wildbobandronnie But it's not even necessary to go to the 20th century: just go down the list of "Tea Party" republicans. Rick Scott, the new gov of FL: a healthcare billionaire who defrauded medicare at the tune of billions for personal gain. The whole "tea party" was funded and their freshmen in congress are working on behalf of the cleptocracy, and their job in congress is to keep poking holes in the very fabric of the US tax code and capitalism for the personal gain of a few oligarchs.

  • @wildbobandronnie Of course it is: it's called the "public good" and it's not stealing, just as taxation is not stealing: it's a constitutional right of government. God, you are arrogant!

  • @wildbobandronnie So how much did teh Roosevelts profit personally from benefiting the whole country?! LOL! Creating the national parking system is just like pocketing the profits from selling a baseball team with a brand new stadium... You people are funny!
