John Dewey. Looking over 1938 work, Experience and Education. This video is a quick summary of Dewey's views on education and experiential learning. This book looks at the arguments between traditional and progressive extremes of education and offer a solution for what schools should be.

  • Dewey must be a genius based on how well American kids are doing under his ideas. Nice one.

    I don't think the current system in America is exactly what Dewey had envisioned. If your interested in an education model that actually functions, explore Finland. The Finish system, which is very a "Deweyan" model, is the highest ranked in the world . A progressive education system is necessary to equip the young generation with the skills needed to deal with the rapidly changing future.

    Dewey is not the cause of America's education problems.
