People think being patriotic is standing up for your country, but to me, it means standing up against your country. I would rather be a dissident than an American if this is what really goes on. Things like election fraud, Vietnam, Watergate, all the bullshit that goes on behind the scenes, that is why I have lost faith in America. The America that my grandparents grew up in isn't the same one that I grew up in and it isn't the America I want to live and die in anymore.

A true patriot will stand up for his country when his government does not speak or act on behalf of the people in that country
