While I was in Boston I got the chance to sit down with State Senator Jarrett Barrios - the only gay and the only Latino person serving in the Massachusetts Senate.

He's a busy man - for sure. He's a Senator, works in a law firm, AND is running for Middlesex District Attorney!

In fact, as I was interviewing him he got news of a huge victory - the House passed his Anti-Crime bill and it was now going to Governor Mitt Romney's desk.

So he was doing an interview with me, working at his law firm, dealing with his staff and the attorney general about his bill, and setting up an interview with NECN (New England Cable News).

Needless to say, I had to do a bit of editing to get the interview to be coherent!

In this part of the interview I ask the Senator about the biggest accomplishment in his political career, why it's important to have LGBT people in office, and what it is like to be the only gay person in the Senate when they are dealing with gay issues - like marriage.
