In soviet russia, submarine drives you!

A real hero!

@SuperDave619 Not sure what you mean but I think America would honor any man that did such a heroic act. Either way he is a Hero and a true Submariner.

This doesnt follow the book which was written with the captain which appeared in this clip. The reality was much worse but yes he was a hero! All of them were!

@123FG123 Here Here! Thx for posting!
Different country, different "side" of the battle, but same cause, for the most part. And all the fallen soldiers of the Cold War should never be forgotten. RIP

@BitnikGr I'm not so sure. My love of country is more than my love of the guy I only half-know a hundred feet down the trench from me. I say in the final analyis, it is one's own God that is at the forefront of their mind's eye. I agree idelogy is far behind but when thinking of God, loved one's come to mind. No doubt a group has to have a good relationship but what was going thorugh this poor soul's mind as he made the ultimate sacrafice? We will never know. All we can do is praise his actions

@LeoAndRas 100% true...
I do beleive with all my heart that in the middle of the most furious battles soldiers don't fight for ideology, or religion, or their country... The only thing they have are their fellows. They fight for each other. If a platoon or a crew doesn't have tight relationships like among brothers, they will be poor in combat or any tough situation.

Die by die,this brave sailor choose to die as a winner and a hero,saving the lives of his friends. There's no bigger proof of love than to give his life by his friends and brothers in arms.
REAL HERO
Hope God Bless his soul
I would be honored to serve with a guy like these a HERO

Wow. This man is a true sailor. A true epitome of what it takes to be a sailor or a military man. I don't think America would honour such a man like Russia does. May Sergey Preminin rest in peace in his beloved submarine. I am sure he would prefer a coffin which he so loved rather than a wooden coffin which would merely keep him in.
