very good explanation! This really helped. I am not using the same settings but through this video I learned how to see the interaction between the various settings.

Want something a little cleaner? Try this: GATE = -25 LIMITER OVERDRIVE = 0 PROCESS = In the middle. LF ATTACK = 20 HF ATTACK = 12 LF RELEASE = 3000 HF RELEASE = 2250 BASS DEPTH = 15 LF BAND LINK = 25 CLIPPER = On STEREO EXPANDER = OFF

Want a little more crunch? Try this: GATE = -25 LIMITER OVERDRIVE = 0 PROCESS = Three quarters toward hard. LF ATTACK = 75 HF ATTACK = 40 LF RELEASE = 3000 HF RELEASE = 2250 BASS DEPTH = 15 LF BAND LINK = 25 CLIPPER = On STEREO EXPANDER = OFF

I tried the Tomass Limiter on Merge98FM, and the settings I found were gate = -90db, Overdrive = 50%, Process = centered, LF and HF = 100, LF Release = 100, HF Release = 524, no Bass Depth, 0% Band Link, No Clipper or Expander. I had to go back to Sound Solution though.

Start with the settings in the video and boost the bass depth until you get as much as you like. The higher the number, the more prominent the bass will be. However, this DSP does not 'boost' the bass like an equalizer would so you can't overdo it. :) JC
