  • The level of interest in this item is high, and many viewers seem to want the whole thing. It is not my policy to upload entire works - I don't think that practice is lawful or appropriate on sites like this. Mr Axelford's Angel is out there on DVD. If you can't find it, you aren't trying hard enough! Best wishes. Colin

  • This play completely changed my life [Honest!!] I so desperately wanted to be Angel.....you know what it's like in your early teens.I tried so hard to find my Mr.Axelford.....Did I or didn't I?

  • has anybody got a copy of this? It would make my mothers day!

  • Yes, one of my all-time favourites too, and I'm happy to see even this short clip. I remember best the bit at the end (I think) where Axelford decides to take his Angel to ...what...a trip away, the smile on his senior secretary's face was a picture. And Julia Foster is a true delight in the part.

  • I saw this when I was 14 and it made such an impression on me that I never forgot it. Now I'm 51 and I never forgot the name. I googled it and found this clip. Thanks to whoever uploaded it!

Yes, you can get it from amazon.co.uk but for those of us in the States I don't think that format works on our dvd players. Wah! I'm dying to see the whole thing. I'll never forget the scene in the Indian restaurant and the Vindaloo.

  • I remember seeing this when I was a child, but couldn't remember who was in it or the title, though did think it could be Julia Foster. I did glance at what she had been in, but none seemed to match, but then chanced upon this clip. As soon as I saw it I knew that it was what I was looking for.

Even in this early clip you can see Axelford becoming attracted to her, though he is not sure why, & in a short period of time is besotted with her. It is a pity I cannot see the whole play.

  • Mr Axelford's Angel is my favourite tv play ever. Thanks for sharing this clip. I wish somebody could put the entire play on. It would be wonderful.
