I don't think so, but I played it that way. I think Edge changes to a dotted 8th note for the solo and slightly lower in the mix, but It doesn't make a huge difference.

Hello Michael, is the first time I write and I want to tell you that your work is fantastic and you are teaching a lot of people playing U2, thing I wanted to do 20 years ago. Anyway, I wanted to ask more tips for doing well in the harmonic slide that I think are good at a few people. (Excuse any mistakes but I write with an automatic translator). Ciao

Thank you! Good question. It took me time to get this. It takes a light touch. Practice simple harmonics on the 12th, 7th and 5th frets. Make sure you can play a "normal" harmonic first. Then touch the G string lightly and as you slide down pick up and down with the Herdim pick. You have to pick quickly so don't keep the pick perfectly perpendicular to the strings or it will get caught. You have to turn it at a slight angle and find the right touch of the pick.

You have to have just the right touch (not too light or it will buzz) and not to hard (or it will be too muted).
