Asteroid hits Earth Animation

Very crude animation I did when I first tried it in Vue a year ago. I added the SFX and music in Adobe Premiere.

It has been nearly two years since I posted this little movie. I have been thoroughly amused, shocked, and out right disgusted with the comments that have been left regarding it. For all those who panned the quality, I accept that and want to point out that the description opens with "VERY CRUDE". But thanks anyway. My favorite comments have been about the "religious" aspects of a meteor or cometary impact on the Earth. Those have been hilarious and a bit scary. But the main reason why I'm posting this is because some viewers have now accused me of being racist or politically biased. The meteor in the movie hits Africa for only one reason: THAT'S HOW THE TEXTURE LINED UP ON THE MODEL. At the time I made this animation I did not know how to adjust that. But I guess some folks just have a need to finger point and find controversy everywhere.

It hit Africa because its a recreation of the asteroid that impacted near Kumasi at what is now called Lake Bosumtwi. The only naturally formed lake in Western Africa. Either that or I'm way off!
