u use my toilet & my parking space, u want my disability too

We have started this face book group, for three main reasons.

Firstly, to bring awareness to all of you that think it is ok to use our parking bays and toilets.

Secondly, for anybody else, who feels as passionately as I do about so called "Normal" people pinching Disabled Parking bays and using Disabled toilets.

Thirdly to allow people to discuss the issues that matter to them regarding disability in an open a honest way, safe in the knowledge they will not be judged for there opinions

At the end of the day, these things are here for a reason. I challenge anybody out there to get into a wheelchair for just ONE day and travel to their local high street and see how easy you find it to navigate around shops, up steps or to reach up to shelves and of course use public toilets etc etc.

Insightful rant. I use disabled toilets and have a RADAR key but I am not in a wheelchair. The reason. Because I need to see to my incontinence stuff. I also suffer with social phobia, agoraphobia and schizophrenia. I could not use a "public" loo with others. I also have a Blue Parking Badge. Are you suggensting that Disabled parking and toilets are only for those with "visible" disabilities?

I went to Walmarts the other day, and waited for five minutes while two little girls, about 7 and 10 piddle pissed around in the handicapped stall.  They finally come out, I am getting down to business, and I see an eyeball peeking at me through the door crack. A kid about 10, who his mother wouldn't send him into the men's room, was peeking in on me. I gave them all a good cussing. Slack parents, make slack kids.

i never use the accessable toliet in public places or park in handicapped parking spots i know what it's like to live with someone with a disability and i try to accommidat them in all that i do and when we are out if she is with me then and only then will i park in a handicapped parking space.

i dunno if ur in america? but um if you are you know that america dont care...! lol i know it sux i am disabled but but not with my body so much.i see your point and i think it is wrong to park in a reserved spot or toilet thats for the ones that need a certain kind to make it easier you know! its sick really! but ...that is the workd today! sad i know!

Once when I told a guy he was using a disabled bay he said "But it's after 5 o'clock" I forgot that we're all miraculously cured every evening!!!
