I really thought that Slash's solo was boring and not very well planned out. It didn't move with the chord changes, or have any progression. What buckethead does is playing notes along a chord. Playing them fast simulates a chord.

if soul in solos means holding his guitar 90 degree then youre right - buckethead is way more diverse, got way more soul and is better overall.
