Visit my bookstore at http://www.LearnToPaint.net This is a watercolour landscape painting of a winter scene. Part 1 takes us through a simple sky technique with distant hills and trees.
I was fortunate to discover Ron Ranson when I first started painting. I've bought his books and videos and love his style. I don't have the patience to do fine detail and his fast and loose technique suits me perfectly. I would recommend watching him to anyone who wants to learn watercolours.
Lovely painting, but rather than the music, it would perhaps be more helpful to have you talking and telling us exactly what you are doing and what colours are being mixed with what. Excellent work though. Are you a student of Ron Ranson?
It was water with just a little Raw Sienna in it to lubricate the sky area. Thanks for watching.

What was the stuff you put all over the paper in the beginning?
