Throughout the Series, there seems to be only 1 Gun per crew. Chris/Snoop carried 1, Sherod's crew carried 1, Michael's corner had 1 - etc.
Also, I think Poot realized if they didn't run - they were going to die, he left because he realized it was against Bodie's character to run, it may seem harsh that he ran - but Poot tried his best in the few seconds he was given.
