gay teen suicide

This is a short film that I composed as a class project to illustrate the loneliness and isolation that some gay teens face growing up. Sadly, some succumb to the struggle and needlessly take their own lives.

This video has been up for so long (sorry about the copyright scrub!) but it seems like there has been an increase in negative comments recently. I moderate these out; I feel I have that prerogative. I think I should stop that practice and let those who would spread hatred and discrimination against gays and lesbians come to light. Whenever I wonder if some individuals still hate gays and lesbians, all I need is to look here and read their most vicious words. Thank you for the reminder.

@ELPAPiGORDO I was born gay. I remember knowing at 5 years old; an age when sex didn't even cross my mind. But in retrospect, I can evaluate thoughts I had as a 5 year old child enough to know I was gay back then as well. Gay people are born gay. Straight people are born straight. Plain and simple. It isn't complicated.

I feel many gay people are lonely because many are not true to themselves. I wasn't for a long time. But not anymore. Be yourself whoever you are. It doesn't get easier. Trust me. So, the sooner you start living, the better things will be. The longer you take to come out, the longer it takes for you to start living your life. High school is just like regular life. Many people remain bullies after school. So, life is an education. Enjoy what you can. And screw the rest of them!

To answer the question...we are born this way. I have had this way of thinking, processing, desire, attraction my entire life. As long as I can physically remember. There was bullying in school yes, but not directly for this. Though queer, fag, and homo popped out of most peoples mouths a lot. I think I made it out, because I began fighting back. I began taking them at their game and winning. But not everyone is like that. And our society allows for you to think it is ok to trash and beat

To answer the question I think from what I know people are born that way and I hate how people act like they choose that lifestyle. In my school we talked about it and I have learn that people think it is a birth defect meaning something wrong has happened to your chromosomes like when people have down-syndrome.
