  • I own an MA 100 and if your going to pedal it up, it has an awsome clean channel, You can re- tube it for less than 200 dollars and put JJ or GT el 34 tubes and the crunch channel will work much better. I was kicking around a Bugera 1990 and bought the marshall instead. without pedals, the Bugera is a better choice for the money.

  • Why do all modern Marshall amps sound the same to me?

Like overgained things...not meaty like the old heads and speakers

  • @colmonic itd be hard to compete with bugera in terms of baong for your buck. the 6262 is an amazing amp for $550

  • i think the MA series is awesum, finially an affordible toober and if u can get the 50 watt amp head and the A speaker cabanent for only about a grand i think its affordible... just wondering what otehr peoples opinions are?

  • Its a LAG but don't know which =D yould be a imperator 3000. Just look it up ;)

  • its the cheapest all valve marshall stack and essentially has three channels including a pretty decent clean which is unusual for marshall. its not tryin to be the jcm 800 or dsl of the marshall range buts its a great choice for an intermediate or above guitarist to get their hands on their first valve stack.

  • what guitar is he using?

  • Just wondering other peoples opinions.

so here goes the toss up.

this (the marshall MA series) or for the same price used buy a Marshall jcm 900?

  • a lot of companies are making cheaper amps that still sound decent. ceriatone is making good marshall style amps handwired for cheap. if marshall didnt do something theyd be missing a huge chunk of the amp market because most people can not afford a 1,500 dollars or 2k and a guitar worthy of putting through it on top of that much less the pedals and whatever some players think they need. its a way of competing without cutting corners on the models they already make to lower price and compete.

  • Awesome!
