Dan & Jason play Fade To Black

Our version of Fade To Black by Metallica, with Dan (left) on the classical guitar and Jason (right) on the acoustic guitar. We shot this with three cameras, none of which are meant for such action (the shot of both of us was captured with the isight on my macbook). I played around with some close-up stuff, but I quickly grew tired of syncing everything. I used iMovie to record, splice, and sync everything.

We play it pretty close to the transcription, but there a few alterations, such as a pseudo-flamenco ending solo.

Really good cover! sometimes "making it your own" works and sometimes it doesn't. This one really works. There are parts of the solo I am not sure work as well as they should but when you start kicking it spanish guitar style (6:25 onwards) it KICKS ASS. coolio!

Thanks! The spanish part was an afterthought (typical song evolution). It came about because of a "something's lacking" kind of feeling about the solo.
