  • why would it do that for all you know pod 4 could of been speacially built not to do that brain was a supergeinous remenber

  • @GROUNDON150 Yes but perhaps Brains had an off day or maybe cowboy builders failed to charge the buoyancy tanks.

  • how can u lunch tb4 if tb2 cant take off

  • Gerry fixed it by using 6lb breaking strain fishing line.

  • Now that you mention it, there is little physics problem. When TB2 drops the Pod, it shed a good few tonnes of weight, seeing that it is using its full thruster capacity to stay hovering over the water, wouldn't the thing be catapulted into the sky when it drops its ballast?

  • good point

  • Its made out of plastic now? how cheap. When i was wee thunderbird 4 was made outta metal

  • What about thunderbird 5? Don't you just know the chap up there would be tapping into the Sky network & watching Porn all day. "Dad, Thunderbird 5 here. I'm kinda gettin low on tissue's up here can you send some up on TB3"

  • @dang3race2 But, that hole isn't underwater.

  • @moron6123 well, most aircraft carriers don't have a big hole in the front.

  • @JBofBrisbane oh right i didn't know about that so maby TB2 could fly then, thank for that

  • @ShaurntheSheep - Sorry I took so long to reply, but Thunderbird 2 is not the only design with forward-swept wings. Google "hfb 320 hansa". At least one NASA experimental design featured forward-swept canard wings.

  • Well, if an aircraft carrier can float, I don't see why the Pod couldn't.

  • @paradisemaster2002 not necessarily since the video cuts for a moment we dont see the point at which the pod releases. TB2 could have landed afloat on the water with the pod attached (since the pod has the ability to float),then adjusted the thruster power to low or even off, and then released the pod. after which TB2 would boost the thrusters again to take off.

this video demonstrates this at 3:50 watch?v=eNaoOXW_HQM

  • Thunderbird 2 can fly think about the Hercules aircraft it is heavy like TB2

It is big like TB2 and it carries frieght like thunderbird 2 and it flies and used by the army. International rescue use Thunderbird 2 for the same reason

Do not doubt Brains he is a genius and way aheade of his time! we once said record on dvd impossable but now look at what has happened!

  • The pod has specail bouyancy tanks to help it float and thunderbird 4 is a mini submarine (Scoutcraft) do not underestimate Brains (Mr. Hyram Hackambacker)

  • At least Thunderbird 4 still came out the pod

  • @dataflowc looool!!! Cowboy Engineers...
