@boredcrab2 So is "In the Neighborhood."
-
seriously though, what is with Tom's voice for this show?! It's just CRAZY! He sounds like a demon with emphysema. Especially on Sixteen Shells. Listen to the line "pawn shop marimba" and just look at how the band reacts to the sound of it.

@DickHBox looks like Francis Thumm on percussion too. This is the Waits army. That stellar cast of characters that helped push his sound forward. But yes, I hear you. Industry is killing the arts and only a drastic change will give us what we want, which is of course, simply good music to be spread and be given a stage... I think.

@evskin506 & @nubient. Thanks peeps. The Tube, another casualty of the suits, like the the John Peel show. Where now can we find the mix of musical genres that these programmes broadcast? Late Junction on Radio3 does very well, but the hours are being being reduced all the time.

Marc Ribot on guitar, Greg Cohen on bass, also I think that's Ralph Carney

@DickHBox no its THE TUBE from UK Channel 4
-
Right, always amazing :)
-
I assume this was on a U.S. TV show. Which one, & any idea who the backing band are?
-
@shawndimery Yeah, not a huge problem though, as 16 Shells and In the Neighborhood are the two best songs on Swordfishtrombones! Add them to the tracklist of Rain Dogs and you have yourself a 11/10 perfect album!

@gabe25591 Yeah I posted that comment after only getting halfway through the video! I realised after
isn't 16 shells off swordfishtrombones?
