It should say "The LOA And Modified Workers Are Finished"!!! I know there are some legit cases but most of the people on LOA and Modifed were playing the game and it will eventually bite in the ass!!!

I use to work at NUMMI 5 years ago in PC and Purchasing and learned a lot about the Toyota Production System. It's sad that 5000+ employees and 30,000+ indirect employees will be affected by the closing. I wish everybody the best of luck and remember that when one door close another will open.

This is a great day in America! You losers in the UAW pissed away every auto job in California with your arrogance and now PAY DAY has arrived! How's it feel to be unemployed!
Now run out there and keep voting for assholes like Obama, Boxer and Pelosi! How's that hope and change working out for you losers?
Oh let me guess, IT'S ALL BUSH'S FAULT! HAHA, suck on your hope and change fools!

30 days and it's all done. So many people are going to lose jobs.

Thank you NUMMI for your quality and commitment for 25 years and helping Toyota become number one in the world
There are a lot of ex-auto workers back east who don't have jobs because Toyota took over the market
You will go on to use what you have learned at NUMMI to bigger and better things in the future
Remember when one door closes another one opens, so go and get to it!
The people of Texas and Canada have some big shoes to fill, lets see if they can do it
KAIZAN and good luck

So sad... I worked there for ~5 years as a QC engineer. I learned a lot while I was there 10 years ago, and continue to to implement kaizan, 5-S, and Muda elimination principles at my current employer.
Good Luck to all the NUMMI employees!! I look back with fond memories.
I believe it's $71.56 a month..........enough for Local 2244 leadership to enjoy so called "union duty" meetings in fancy locations. Why do you think they got rid of Denise! She wouldn't sign the checks! Hello!
