Nice choice. G'day from sunny Australia. This is one of my favourite Ramones songs and I did a version of this at my uke group last year. Actually I think we were separated at birth or something as my favourite bands include The Stranglers, Devo and Ramones. I think your version of Tank is the best thing on Youtube! In fact, I'm going to go and listen to it again right now!

I heard this song was based in reality. One of the boys burned his hand badly. On an airflight from NYC to Boston, where his family and doctors were, the pitiful pain meds he had been given wore off and the pain became excruciating. He begged the stewardess to give him a sedative shot, which they apparently carry for medical emergencies, but she wouldn't. Out of his misery, he later came up with this song for the band. That's what I heard, anyway.
