Wow!!!! I was 14 years old. I remember that night like it was yesterday. I have not seen it since. I was a huge KISS fan. I spent my time drawing them and wishing that I could just see them on TV....since we had only three channels back then, seeing them perform was only a dream.....I wore out every album, record and tape I ever had. I think the first time I saw them was on Don Kirschner's Rock Concert....might be mistaken. I'd never seen anything like it.....and still haven't to this day.

@Firestar1312 Thats so much cooler and cuter than finding out that I was concieved in the back seat of a Chevy Impala to Nat King Cole on the radio at a Drive In movie!....and they got married.

This was the song that landed them the slot on this TV show. Beth was Kiss's first top ten hit. After Kiss Alive! was such a success in late 1975, Destroyer was a little too weird for Kiss fans at the time. Suddenly, Beth started climbing the charts and became their biggest hit in the United States. This is when Kiss took the jump from popular, into being a 70's phenomenon.

I was a young and totally lost lad of 12 yrs old when I saw the Paul Lynde Special on ABC TV on Oct 31, 1976, this song awoke my senses to music and especially rock music!! I have been hooked ever since.
