@salomejp I came accross one of these trikes and the original axle is a peerless axle like used on gokarts and lawn tractors and it's an open diff. That the only thing I could find on them. If you know anything more about these trikes, could you please message me, because I can't find anything about them on the internet. I have questions like how do the rear wheels come off and mine is missing a bearing that goes betweeen the axle and frame.

that key is called a woodruff key...the shaft has a slot that takes the HALF MOON shaped key which corresponds with the slot in the magneto/flywheel. woteva

Front tire looks way too thin. Wouldn't trust that configuration to turn under power, but best of luck! It'll get good gas mileage.

It came with the differential back then, but I did see differentials in San Francisco on the pedal rides.
