  • This is such a beautiful son. For those of us who actually understand the words, it carries a very powerful message. I could translate it if anyone is interested. Let me know...

  • Very crystal and brilliant chocie: )

Shimmering colour and aquatic overtones combined with the entrancing music selection syncs with my mind.

    Very beautiful indeed ₪

  • muhammad ali movie conference speech before last fight vs george foreman in zair correct?

  • A quick translation for those of you who wanted to know what the story was about. The language is bambara, and some of the concepts are quite difficult to translate. Hope you enjoy the song a little bit more now.

  • None of us are truly aware of how limits and how far we are willing to go.

The final words of the song are: Sanni Kegniba sara, which means Sanni Kegniba died. Throughout the song, there is no mention of who Sanni Kegniba is. The name keeps coming up, but it turns out it was the name of the kings favorite daughter. The kings choice was only made clear at that point. He chose to remain in power.

  • The Fulani chief replied with a categorical NO. The chief is so outraged that he states: no member the Fulani tribe will be offered; matter of fact, not even a member of an enslaved tribe will be offered. ( Up to 4:15)

The matter was brought to the attention of the queen mother (his wife). What could she say about this? What could she do about this matter? (up to 4:30)

  • As the preparations for the sacrifice began, the king approached the Fulani chief with a proposition. The king asked the Fulani chief if he would be willing to provide one of his to fulfill the requirement. The king asked him to bear the cost of his continued rule, and in exchange he (the king) would make it worth while (financially). (up to 3:20)

  • War came upon this great kingdom; the king sought guidance from his ancestors through his mediums; the payment was 3 large units of currency.

The mediums replied: you will need to offer a human sacrifice to the Gods, and it must be your favorite daughter. This is the high price of your crown. You must offer your daughter, your own flesh and blood for you to win this war and retain your crown.

  • How did this come to be? How does one explain this? My people, how did this come to be? How do we explain this? (Salif repeats this until 1:20)

Subversion towards a king resulted in a tragic set of events, undeniable, Sanni Kegniba (a persons name)

Lust for wealth resulted in a tragic set of events, indeed, Sanni Kegniba (up to 1:50)
