Thanks to the many tweets by supporters of Act for Sudan, our question was one of three that was addressed by State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland at a Twitter briefing on Friday, January 7, as part of the department's 21st Century Statecraft Month.

Our question was: Why doesn't @StateDept support regime change in #Sudan where government-led genocide continues? #AskState Why Syria+Libya but not #Sudan?

While we were pleased that our question had been selected, Act for Sudan members were widely dissatisfied with the State Department's response which sidestepped the central issue of America's foreign policy standards in the face of genocide and crimes against humanity.
