The recent Lhasa protests, led by monks, grew increasingly violent, culminating last Friday with widespread street riots. China claims that there are foreign instigators behind the unrest; while Western observers accuse China of violating human rights of Tibetans. Who is right? What are the causes of the dramatic events? And is there any chance at all that the World will see the situation in Tibet develop into something like the situation we witnessed in Kosovo last month? Dmitry Kosyrev, a political analyst is here today to share his views.

  • china does not belong in tie bet

  • good to have old commies still working for the chinese

  • @asamfish2002

2 hypicracy Russia and China !

Are just affraid of loosing their invaded countires !

  • you're the genius that still thinks Chinese don't know what's stated in western media. How you make up your mind is the problem.

  • the biggest lies are spat out from Dharamshala itself, and ate up by western media. if you look at their exemplar the BBC, it's clear they're not even pretending to be objective. they want to be advocates and extend british media influence and power. they want to use their loudspeaker to shape your behavior--just like they did during their fucking british empire.

  • China and Russia are aligned in international affairs from Bosnia to Sudan, with Europe and America on the other hand. The media campaigns that each side put out are regrettable with regards to Tibet. The only solution to this problem should lie with the Tibetan people. But the Tibetan exile government has no power in this struggle. The Tibetans inside Tibet have no voice. So we are subjected to this internationalization of the Tibet which China prefers as they can then avoid the real issue

  • Its a total joke These blood thirsty chinese people comment about western media being biased when they have only State run news media. At least we in the west have access to different aspects of information and through reasoning we can make up our own mind. Amnesty International recognize genocide in Tibet and they refused the United nation human rights watch proposal to investigate the tibet crisis. they forced out journalist, foreign tourist, completely sealed off the border. You be the Judge.

  • western media have really shot themselves in their foot. they have lost credibility with so many Chinese. I now feel safer Chinese will not be manipulated by them.

  • KirbyZhang,

You are correct. Russian medias and Russian Intelligence produces systematic investigation to establish facts.

Where as the amerikan hamberger eating medias speak with their anus..

  • I appreciate very much two things about russians -- one is intelligence, two is honesty. It's such a breath of fresh air to listen to them, compared to the manipulative filth of western media!
