The problem is that people think god will protect them when they pray but it's god punishing them by funnel cloud. But because nobody ever seen god, nobody knows if it exist.

The problem is that people commit too many sins without any atonement, so the get punished by God. The only difference between humans and animals is that they have a higher intelligence to worship God. But what can be done, since people do not care about God. So they will be punished eternally until they change their mind and surrender to God. The criminals are punished by the state, in the same way God punishes everybody in this universe, because they disobey the law of God.Save yourself first.
