2009 was filled with trying new things and learning a lot. We're getting better every year. Skeeter is an amazing horse with so much try and also very forgiving, which is lucky for me. I'm slowly getting my confidence back and as long as one of us doesn't get 'show nerves' we're okay. I'm lucky to have a horse like Skeeter with personality plus. This year we added Ranch Cutting and Working Cow Horse green as grass to our list of events as well as earned some money in team cattle sorting. Western Pleasure has suffered a bit as a result but that's okay she already has her ROM, we can have fun now. A good horse is never a bad color, even if we spent more time at the washrack during show season than I care to remember. And no one recognizes her on fall trail rides and round ups when she is more grey than white, unclipped, fat and furry. She might not be the prettiest horse, but she is amazing.
