Proof that Blues is the father of metal.

@Ryoketsu I think it does give an extra cruch that powerchords are lacking. I used to do a lot of metal but im more into bands like the civil wars now. Ive been finding some cool classical things to do with the drop D. Its about the only non standard tuning that I really know of. I used to try B tunning because of Type O Negative but..man I couldnt get anything to come out lol.

@KesslersCross I know what you mean. I was drawn to Drop D as soon as I started guitar because I could play easy things that sounded better then anything I could do otherwise, but now I like it because it adds a different layer of music I can add. I'll play in Standard for a bit, and then switch to drop D and play heavier stuff. Not that I can't play powerchords, I just like the couple extra it gives on the first two frets. xD

@Ryoketsu Yeah Ive found some really awsome drop D players in metal, I just cant see the point of it myself. I suppose it depends on your taste but I dont see a lot of personal style in it. Iike you said, for the easy power chord is why I think so negativly about it because I dont find anything hard about a power chord.
-
@KesslersCross Thats not true at all. The reason it seems like 'you can't do anything' with it is because most people that play in drop D just play it for the easy power chords. Drop D can actually make wonderful music similar to this song. Some great bands play in drop something or another.
It really comes down to your knowledge of guitar.

do not give ur tabs to anyone

@YouGotMerkedUnited Ill check them out, I have never heard of them. I just dont see the point of it, kind of a lazy way to play a power chord in my opinion. I know the tone is dif, and I guess it can be considered a style but I dont get it. Kind of like those retarded guitars that two little E strings, one on top and on one the bottom, just pointless. Oh, I wanted to say your tune puts me in mind of a old Iron Maiden song.

@KesslersCross look up synyster gates. He plays mostly in drop D, i suppose he cant play very well either? lol
-
Not bad not bad, im not a fan of metal on acustic though...and I personally think deop D is for people who cant play very well but, that my opinion and I formed it just because there is nearly nothing you can do with it.

Why the hell would he give people Tabs for HIS OWN ORIGINAL SONG?!?!?? I'm sure he doesn't want people to steal it.
