IDK, by tournaments, do you mean official tournaments? against real people for a prize? If so they may end up having some that do include items, like the red shell, then it's a precaution. Otherwise idk.

@utubewatchero there are no real SSBM tournaments that include items, and if they did, they wouldn't bother banning the glitch

@HandtoHandWombat it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to pull this off in tournament. first of all, it's impossible to get a red shell in tournament. secondly, it pretty much requires your opponent's compliance to be pulled off.

plus, at the end of the day, you're still stuck using mewtwo LOOOLLLLL

@Theonegamefreak here's what i mean: it's banned IN TOURNAMENTS. it is literally IMPOSSIBLE in tournaments because it requires a red shell, and items are turned off in tournaments, so the clause banning it is unnecessary.

I don't understand how people can't see what is right in front of them sometimes.

It's obviously banned because its a glitch and not only a glitch but one that if pulled off gives an instant win. I know its still hard to do but that doesn't matter because it wasn't officially intended in the gameplay.

@ATVSmash If they did, they moght want to ban it as a precaution, but why do you say they wouldn't ban it? because it's so hard to do?

ALso, is there a website or something that tells of super smash bros tournaments? I'd love to take part in one if any would be near me. It could be any ssb, original, melee, or brawl I would love to play in a tournament and be able to fight someone who can actually beat me.
