  • what's the car in this video ? Is it a Dodge charger ?

  • @johnbroome1 -the car is a Dodge Superbee-manufactured between 1968 through 1970-engine options -383 -426 Hemi - super fast and not too bad to look at either!

  • @johnbroome1 also offered with a 440 as well

  • I am well aware of what the ever so accurate Wikipedia says, which I take with a grain of salt. All I was saying is what my wife and I heard at the concert we attended at The Seattle Center Arena, in the late 70's, and what Toni Tenille stated. if you remember, The Captain never spoke. He played the Bumble Boogie, and it sounded pretty real. I will defer to any other "expert " opinions express, here.

  • please find below 2 connected replies regarding Nutrocker! Toni also stated the wikipedia section on Bumble Boogie appears accurate

  • This came out of Toni Tenille's own mouth, at a concert in Seattle, quite a while back. Either its the truth (which I believe) or not.

  • Thus, Daryl played a boogie treatment of 'march of toys', into a little tape recorder, then, my father was approached to O K a 50% split publishing deal for Daryl's arrangement, my father refused the offer (Daryl was 16 yrs. old then..), and thus, the tune was 'passed on' to another music-industry mogul / musician. -who professionally recorded it, and thus had the HIT record with the new 'NutRocker' version. Daryl made no money - and got no credit for this typical 'record biz/ bs' story.

  • The tinny piano sounds like it had thumbtacks on the hammers, which I've heard was an old trick to get that sound.

  • One of my old favorite instrumentals from the fabulous '60s!!!

  • i've heard many covers of the Be-Bop and i've got to say this is over the top good and has even Liberace beat.it just ROCKS!

  • Love this song!

  • @oldies55 The woman was manufactured between 1946 and 1950, is stock, starts slow and speeds up considerably, and not to bad to look at, either!

  • lovin me some boojie woojie.....

  • @johnbroome1: From 1968 - 1970, the Dodge Super Bee was a version of the Dodge Coronet. In 1971 Chrysler switched to the Charger body for the Super Bee. This was the last year for this model, so the car you see in the video is a 1971.

  • @deanslist101 That B Bumble was a fake, to tour with a band. The real musicians were all to buzy to tour. See also chriscortez56 for real personel.

  • We did the "Philly" to this! What a group!!!
