Well I did it initially through Ebay where I purchased the instrument, and then final through emails. He is very welcoming. I basically wanted to do a Thailand visa run and used that as an excuse to visit HCMC and Bruce's shop. Lost of busy people there working the day away. Very friendly.

I have a 12-string archtop guitar I purchased from Bruce. It's an absolutely beautiful instrument. People are amazed to see it and it sounds wonderful.

I just visited Bruce's shop to pick up /set up an F5 mandolin. I tried around a dozen different instruments, & aided in a prototype lapsteel design. Bruce is really interested in feedback to make the instruments better.
I have played 3 Lloyd Loar F5's including Mike Marshal's, though you can't compare a $250k, 90 year old masterpiece to a new one, I can say these are fine instruments, hand made, with a nice balanced tone, an instrument I would play on stage and for recording; no question.
