I started work on my recently purchased studio-reckless 1/144 Re-GZ resin kit (e2046 recast).
In this video I'm showing the process of removing appendage on the parts that were left-overs from the molding process, test assembling the parts and ten pinning them to get the two legs standing.

Genshiken OST: 'Smile'
Genshiken Season 2 ED: 'Clubhouse Sandwich' by 'Yuumao'
Gundam Seed Destiny OST: 'Saikai no Yokan'

  • hey wuz wondering where wud i b able to find a pin vise? cuz i have sum kits that were doubled cuz of shipping errors n i wanna make them custom...so i wanna start off n get a couple of tools for it

  • I got mine from HLJ.

Interesting way of typing you've got there ^^

wait...doubled cause of shipping errorz. You're lucky.

  • man this looks so cool, the widening hole for the wire's alignment is genius i was just thinking of how to get that part exactly lined up

  • I got the tip from a written tutorial (4nimu-GRLZ-kits).

If I easy way I'd just superglue all the pieces together, fix the error with putty and then paint the kit. But I suspect that there are some misfit-issues coming along the assembly that will be discovered earlyer and countered easier with pins.

Having holes makes painting the individual parts easier because you can hold them on the wire.

Reh...too much smart-assing in my comment.

  • you should wash the resin before useage

or after you cut the extra pieces cuz sometimes its oily and when you paint its a problem

  • Thanks for the advice. I already did that (Ultr4s0nic-bath style).

I'll do that again before painting ^^
