Is that a recorder??

Very well done. I guess Flight of the Bumblebee is out of the question? Keep up the good work.

It's a recorder. Trust me, I'm a flute player and flute is a horizontally played instrument.

i agree with alcproduction

I agree with you effzee, recorder is a funny name. In French we call it «une flute soprano» a soprano flute. There is a slightly larger model called «une flute alto» an alto flute.

Very nice. Recorder (as we oddly call it in the U.S.) was my first instrument (I got my degree in Clarinet). In college I played at Colonial Williamsburg on the English Flute (which is what the recorder was called in America in the 18th Century). I have 3 recorders; a sopranino, soprano, and an alto. The year my college went on a music tour in Scotland I got to play a beautiful wood tenor (I like the sound of the tenor best).

@earthshinemusic4u Hi, and thank you for the comments :-) Isabella still plays her "English Flute" (thank you for the term!) once in a while - she plays the left hand on her piano and the right with the "flute" (I just don't like calling it a recorder, lol). We've really got to get some more up-to-date videos done...

lol, folks, a controversary around my little kiddo's little video isn't really what we were looking for here. It's completely irrelevant if you want to call it a recorder. We don't live in the US and where we live, this simple instrument is called a Block Flute, so that's what I titled her videos the way I did....

it looks more like a clarinet

lol, ok, if you like.... I'm sure Isabella would be happy to hear that as she tried out the clarinet for a few weeks, but moved to piano instead :o)

im sorry to tell you but that is not a flute its a recorder

Sorry but in German it's called a Blockflöte, a Block Flute. Why anyone ever decided to call it a "Recorder" is beyond me... Regardless of what it's erroneously called in english, it's still a type of flute. But thanks anyway.
