Fabulous! the world that was is a world thats lost, this truly was the era for supreme glamour and total grace. Sadly women like this are almost gone or not seen anymore. Ann Sothern is a beautiful emblen of those times.

I would stare at this beautiful woman (already in her late 40's) on the TV screen...the year was 1957 and I was only 5 years old. I didn't know at that time what a beautiful voice she had to match her beautiful face. It was a different time, a different kind of actress, a different Hollywood. Thanks for posting these photos of Ann Sothern.

Thanks so much for the magnificent medley of Ann Sothern photos! She has been my favourite since I saw the syndicated "Susie" on TV back in the early 60's. Then I tried to find all her movies. It's a shame she's so under-represented on DVDs...

Ann Sothern, my mentor as a child. There was no one like her.. To the lady below, she was not "My Little Margie," Gale Storm was. Ann was Susie McNamara, a happy, witty, savvy secretary to a talent agent at International Artists. I used to beg my parents to stay up and watch "Private Secretary, " later called "Susie"..also loved her old movies, most of which were made before my time but showed up as classics on TV. She was the first female heroine, with 10 "Maisie" movies. Inspiring person!

Mr. Nelson, this is another good one. She became a favorite,then a friend of mine in 1988. I was only able to meet her by mail, I didn't have the heart to ask for any more, but I found her to be a very dear gracious lady. A friend I will always value having made. Thanks for the memories, they are wonderful.!

@asfanize A good friend of Ann contacted me over a year ago and said she used to visit Ann who always made her welcome. She was very down-to-earth and loved talking about the old Hollywood days.
