In my opinion, the captain of this A-321 waited too long for go-around decision.
He actually tries to recover this landing.
I can only imagine how terrified his passengers were.

I have more aviation vids. on the 'Tube
(Plus a couple vids. of me drumming..lol)

  • Why do you think the Captain took so long to apply full throttle? I mean he was already at a pitch up attitude for a few seconds before he opened up the throttle...what the hell.

  • I think most commercial aircraft take some time to build up the N1 for TOGA power....

    It's not immediately responsive....

But I can't be sure because I don't fly comm. aircraft.

Any Airbus pilots comment on this???

  • Orite cool.

Reply was a bit late lol!

    Good luck with vids

  • thanks man....

Yeah... I'm not really a comment junkie..

  • I wonder how bad he pissed himself

  • Great job averting a disaster! The paxs must have been terrified. Wonder if s/he landed on the next approach or went to their alternate.

  • @patton303 i know the reson for all this late go around and slow this and that and late throttle, MUST REACH TAXFREESTORE BEFORE SHUTDOWN.

  • Well they don't call them Scarebus for nothing. Looks like just another example of a pilot fighting the computer on one of these things. I just don't trust them.

  • @patton303 you are correct, but the "lag" time to spool up is not that long. The pilot here did wait too long IMO...and his approach appeared to be too high also. Once the oscellation starts, it is difficult to stop it especially when it gets out of hand like it is here. If I was his chief pilot, he would be doing alot of practice in the simulator.

  • He got the stick shaker going!

  • If it's not a Boeing, you shouldn't be going....

  • wowww

  • In this bad of weather aand with this bad of cross wind I would definatly have gone around sonner. But then again, I fly small aircraft so I really can't judge.

  • TERRAIN! PULL UP! TERRAIN! PULL UP!

  • i think the pilot applied throttle in the exact moment. the plane was not fully aligned nor leveled before that. as soon as the plane was "stable" he applied TO\GA. any moment before that and it would be a disaster.. just my 2 cents, im no pilot. sorry 4 bad english...

  • @patton303 You know what thats about the only sensible comment i've seen on an airliner video all year! Too many Flight Sim Gods around that think they know everything it's refreshing to see some sense used before posting!
