Use this walkthrough of Rip-Off the Ruby in Sly 2: Band of Thieves to safely escort the precious ruby to its buyer, keeping it safe by resting it on the cushions Bentley will lay out for that purpose. Take out enemies whenever necessary, but do your best to avoid detection. When you've brought the ruby safely to the buyer, you'll be all set to proceed with Operation: Wet Tiger.

In order to acquire the last necessary piece of equipment for the upcoming operation, you'll need to nab the ruby here, which Bentley can sell to certain interested parties. When you gain control of Sly, whack the ruby with your cane until it's dislodged from it place in the wall right beside you. You'll then switch over to controlling Murray.As Murray, move forward, and drop down a few levels, then cross a bridge, and head toward the ruby, taking out guards along the way as necessary. Stay as stealthy as you can, but don't be afraid to battle it out when you have to. Once you've reached the ruby, Sly will fill you in on the rest of the plan. With Bentley leading the way, grab the ruby, and head across the bride, busting through the door up ahead. When you come to the gap, wait for Bentley to deploy a cushion on the far side, then toss the precious, but fragile, gem across to a safe landing. Hop across yourself, then pick up the ruby again, and head forward. Be ready to toss it to safety whenever necessary. After the mysterious figure has intervened for a few moments, grab the ruby again and continue forward. It's best to evade the guards up ahead, as you don't want to get involved in a fight while carrying the ruby. If you do get spotted, find the nearest cushion, and place the ruby there for safekeeping. Whenever you come to a cushion, you may want to put the ruby down, then take out all the guards up ahead. Not too far ahead, you'll meet up with your contact, who will take the ruby, as per the deal.
