iPhone 3G S Diner Demo Video

Quick demo video of the iPhone 3G S's video recorder. Cut with QuickTime Pro to minimize processing...this is completely unenhanced audio and video. I'm surprised that the little microphone in the phone picks up so much ambient audio; my voice is loud and clear, but so are those of the people at the table around me. Also note that it's adjusting focus and exposure dynamically throughout each shot. Nice!

Yes, it's a little static. This is what happens when you have pre-release hardware and you've signed a thick document promising not to let the public know you have it and you have no children. :)

Actually Engadget concluded that the new ARM8 chip from Samsung on the Iphone 3G S is capable of shooting 720p HD videos along with a good battery management. Strangly Apple implemented VGA instead of HD..

I'm impressed. With a little video stabilization in iMovie and that would look like video shot from a pretty great hand camera.
