Sunken Treasure- No not gold, silver or jewels, but old ships that have outlived their usefulness as working vessels, make wonderful artificial reefs. Many of these have been purposely sunk to create artificial reefs. We have visited and videoed several. The one featured in this short film is the steel-hulled, 240 foot long Prince Albert, a former inter-island freighter, that was cleaned well and then purposely sunk , off the southern coast of Roatan Island, Honduras in 1985. In the last 25 years the ship has accumulated an amazing variety of corals, sponges, algae. Many invertebrates as well as fishes now make a home aboard the Prince Albert. Enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed capturing the footage.
this is so cool i was reading this book about kids who dive and find treasure and i was amazed, i couldn't do that though... im very claustrophobic
